Customer makes, make me happy

26 May 2019

I love seeing what our customers make and when they pop in or send photos of what they have made with our fabrics, its really amazing to see the connection between our choice of fabrics, and your choices on what to make from them, what colours to put together and who they make things for.

When a grandma first walked in to our shop asking for fabrics suitable for her granddaughters, we looked through the fabrics and chose the following:

1. Cotton fabrics for summer as they breathe and are cool

2. Easy to sew fabrics- cotton poplin

3. Co-ordinating colours and designs

4. A simple pattern to make that would allow the girls to grow but still wear the garments.

Our first choices were pink flamingos and blue swallows and these are the gorgeous garments that grandma made....

Then the wonderful thing happened.... the girls saw the dresses that grandma had made and wanted more!

Grandma and her granddaughters then came into the shop to choose their own fabrics. They were like kids in a toy shop, getting to choose their colour combinations and deciding where each fabric was going to be used. Grandma asked me if I could help to get the right amounts and I looked back to what we had used last time and here are the results! Customer satisfaction and good customer service is important.

And Unicorn fabrics!

So what will you choose to make for your friends and family? Will it be co-ordinating dresses, shirts, cushions, bunting, quilts, bags, curtains or something different again?

Why not pop in to our Northallerton store (at 1, The Fairway, Northallerton , DL7 8AY) or visit us online to see what gorgeous fabrics you can choose from at www.sewnew.co.uk?

Happy sewing, happy families and enjoy your bank holiday weekend.

thanks
